Ready for the cockpit How Padpilot took pilot training to every device
Padpilot’s ground school books are studied by more than 11,000 student pilots and instructors at over 180 schools in 91 countries. Its CEO, Nathan Gray, is a former Harrier pilot and test pilot. In this film he explains why Padpilot brought its library to KITABOO, how he tested the platform before trusting it, and what changed for cadets when their books reached every device, online and offline.

The story
Learning for the cockpit, not just for the exam.
Nathan joined Padpilot to lead it into a new era, for a generation of learners very different from his own. His aim, in his words, is to give “the pilots that take us around the world, take our families around the world” the knowledge to fall back on “when something happens that isn’t expected, and it will.”
Padpilot had been first to put pilot training ebooks on the iPad. But the iPad is an expensive device, and schools and students who wanted Android or the web were left out. So when Padpilot moved its library to KITABOO, Nathan did what test pilots do: he tested it end to end, tried to break it, and only then trusted it.
